Vintage Wedding Photography – Anna & Jot – Holdenby House – Northamptonshire
Jot, an actor and animal lover, spends his life holed up in voice over booths and Anna works in a high pressure job as an editor on the FT Weekend. They wanted a relaxed country wedding that would transport them and their friends, many of whom are also actors and performers, out of the hustle and bustle of London life and into the privacy of historic Holdenby House in Northamptonshire. The emotional ceremony was followed by a loud brass band procession through the grounds led by a fist pumping groom with a huge grin on his face. The party then unfolded under the canopy of a stretch tent resplendent in home made bunting and hand picked flowers. The day had a real festival vibe – painted pebbles for placeholders, croquet on the lawn with falcons circling the grounds and children in onesies on the dance floor. For me, this was the epitome of an English country wedding, us Scandi’s got a thing or two to learn.
