Luxury Wedding Photography – Maria & Michael – The Royal Exchange – London
I first met Maria and Michael a year prior to their wedding when they commissioned me to shoot their wedding invitation. Having hired out the Everyman Cinema on Baker Street for the shoot, it was clear from the outset that this was a couple who knew what they wanted. What followed was one of the most extraordinary London weddings that I’ve ever shot. With a grand ceremony at St Sophia’s Cathedral the day began as it meant to go on – with a level of scale and grandeur that was truly extraordinary. The wedding reception was held at London’s opulent Royal Exchange – a huge covered atrium flood lit for the night and abundant with fresh flowers and flanked by living statues of woodland creatures. From the ‘purple’ carpeted entrance to the 9 course menu cooked and introduced by Michelin starred chef Daniel Clifford, Maria and Michael were fastidious in their planning; and it showed. The epic meal was rounded off by a lively burst of Greek dancing, obviously.
